I tailor my coaching to the individual, and use my intuition and understanding of what it is to be human in the world. This has shown some themes that have developed into powerful processes.
Some examples: Paradigm shifting, “creating” your life, moving from a “stuck” place, career transitions, family issues, habit transformation, spiritual practice integration, self-awareness development, interpersonal relationships and communication, managing health challenges, self-healing, goals and action steps, and the extraordinary power of choice! (This is so simple and powerful…)

“Diane is a superlative listener. Early on in a coaching session, she can see a direction that will help me. She is patient and waits for the right moment to help me steer me in that direction. Then she helps me get there, in a way that is powering. She helps me to feel that I have gotten there mostly on my own. Since I have no previous experience with this kind of coaching, it is difficult at this time to conceive of how this might go better. These coaching sessions helped me immediately, but over a period of time, I realized how much more effectively I was handing various work-related challenges. The gifts kept giving! Coaching sessions with Diane produced very quick results. I was highly motivated to make some changes, and I quickly noticed that I heard Diane’s voice in my head. As a college music professor and composer-performer, I had a lot of different kinds of applications for the things I learned in my sessions. I noticed that I was teaching better and making better decisions about how to deal with difficult colleagues and life situations. I learned how to explore a lot of options on my own. I recommend Diane highly as a coach.” – Skip W., Philadelphia, PA
“Diane really keeps me on track to the issue at hand. She has really challenged on concerns I have and showed me that I can conquer some of my biggest fears one step at a time and not feeling so overwhelmed. I love the book/article suggestions and I really like the breathing exercises and it’s “ok” to cry. I feel very comfortable and safe talking with her and sharing with her. My suggestion would be to have similar exercises with others if she doesn’t do that already. I’ve worked with Diane for several months on both my personal and professional goals and I strongly feel my self-confidence shifting to a higher level. Diane has challenged my “old” way of thinking and let me come into a new way of thinking and approaching situations in a more confident manner. I look forward to our sessions and the weekly reading she suggests. Her compassion to helping others and the love of guiding towards a happier lifestyle really shines through in her words and dedication.” – Lisa T., Rhode Island
“Diane was most valuable in helping me see alternatives, and encouraging me to think more holistically and less dualistically. Diane is very patient, and makes it a point to explore and understand a person’s subjective or phenomenological view before strategizing. She has made me feel as if my perspective and lived experiences were valid, even when they needed to be changed. With Diane I am motivated to see as she says, “the middle ground.” I am a very dualistic thinker, which she was able to recognize in a respectful manner, and then help me explore for myself, other options. There is an enormous amount of respect I feel from Diane, even when I am not feeling it for myself. She is smart, funny, and pragmatic, all qualities I believe make her an excellent life coach. Moreover, Diane is genuine and lives the life she coaches.” – J. Harris, Salem, MA
“Diane coaches me to help see that change is not only possible but very doable and that she will guide me through my inner wisdom to make change happen. She is a very special, insightful, kind person with a big heart.” – A Mom in Lexington, MA
“Diane completely exceeded my expectations for what is possible from a coach. She is intelligent, intuitive, and knows just what to ask you. I highly recommend her. She gave me peace of mind on a topic that I had been worrying about for months. And, it she did it in less than an hour. Wow!” – Joshua, Austin, TX
“It is with great pleasure and sincere gratitude that I highly recommend Diane Jones. I have known Diane for several years. In that time, I have gone through many challenges in my life. I honestly believe that everyone could use a life coach or advisor to guide him or her through life’s obstacles. Diane has proven to be a reliable, nurturing professional who really understood my particular issues.
By utilizing a series of practical exercises and decades of experience, Diane was able to help me overcome several challenges. While some offer only hollow, generic advice, Diane welcomed the issues and guided me to making my own rational, logical decisions without judgment or fear. Her collaborative approach empowered me to make the necessary changes that improved my life. She listened to my specific issues and crafted a plan to help me through them.
I can honestly say that I’ve become a better, more confident person with Diane’s help. I’ve learned to let things go and not keep them bottled up. I’ve learned to live mostly without judgment and fear. Most issues stem from ego, vanity and fear. Diane has taught me to avoid these negative feelings and move past them. While these lessons are never mastered, I feel that I’ve come a long way from where I started. [One thing that stood out was] Her ability to help me view myself and my issues in a different way. Diane helped me to channel my frustrations and problems into positive opportunities.
Whether you are having trouble with a colleague, issues about that lost promotion or challenges with a family member, Diane can guide you through these emotions and lead you to becoming a stronger, healthier person. I highly recommend her services as a life coach and would welcome the opportunity to talk more about her.”
– Peter D., Jamaica Plain, MA
“I started talking with Diane as a way to help me in my transition back into the paid workforce after taking time off to raise my children. Over the past 12 months Diane has provided me with invaluable insight, tools, motivation and friendship. We have spoken roughly once per week (except over the summer), and it has been a pleasure to talk with her. She has a knack for truly listening and then delicately asking probing questions that force me to rethink unspoken assumptions that I am making and negative beliefs that I am harboring about myself and about what others think of me. She has been most valuable by asking questions that get me to look at my situation in different ways or to challenge the unspoken assumptions and beliefs that are hurting me. She has helped me to see that I have tools that I can use when my negative self-talk is dragging me down.
Now I find that I stop myself whenever a negative thought comes into my head that makes me feel bad and panicked about my job search. Instead, as she has reminded me, I concentrate on the positive! I try to focus my energy on what I want to happen rather than on what I’m afraid will happen. This shift in focus has made a huge difference in my outlook, confidence and motivation. In addition, Diane asks the questions that push me to the next step when I feel stuck or unsure about what to do next. I tend to be very resistant to being told what to do, but Diane manages to nudge me to find the answers for myself. I’m still looking for a job but thanks to Diane, I’m sleeping better these days.” – Joan S, Westford, MA
