Guest Post: Friendships

friendship-66vWe don’t get to choose our family, but we do get to choose our friendships. I have been very lucky in this area. I have great friends who I have known since high school. We still talk regularly (though we no longer live close to each other) and once a year we get together for “friends weekend” where we just hang out and catch up. I have some friends who I trust areas of my life that I wouldn’t share with anyone else. I know that they will be there when I need them and they know the same is true for them. I ask their advice about things and their answers are always thought provoking, especially because they know me so well. I also have lots of friends who although we don’t see each other all the time, when we connect it’s always a lot of fun and filled with love. Creating a circle of friendships is important to living a life of wholeness. They add so much to our lives. Today I want to talk about how friendships. I think that when you are a great friend, you get a great friend in return.

  • Be smart about your friendships – We choose our friends, so choose wisely. No one has time for everyone, so cultivate friendships that will enrich your and their lives.
