The Law of Attraction (LOA) is a powerful phenomenon, and when you use it correctly, it becomes far easier to attract or manifest your desires. Like any tool, though, its effectiveness depends on how you wield it. Over time, I’ve come across a handful of important tweaks that have made a real difference in how well the LOA works — small shifts in mindset and approach that aren’t always obvious at first. Here are some of the key points:
1-The Welcome
The correct way to use LOA (which may be the opposite of what you have been taught) is:
Instead of chasing desires with affirmations and visualizations, try giving them a welcome instead.
You want to welcome in your desires by sending love to them, being grateful for them, thanking them for coming to you, and thanking your higher self for helping facilitate the attraction.
2-The Higher Self
Another point about the law of attraction is that it’s easier to attract and manifest if your desires are from your higher self. That is, if your desires are for the good of all, i.e., if desires are “unselfish”. Now you might say, well, is it “selfish” to want a new dress or fixture for the home? And no, it is not selfish because you are creating joy for yourself, and your joy will then project out towards the good of the whole, for the good of all.
But a caveat is that a desire has to align with the laws of nature. You can’t just attract something that brings you joy but might harm others. Unselfish desires have to be for the good of all.
3-Be Sure & Clear
The main reason that people don’t seem to attract their desires is twofold: either they are uncertain of what they want, or they keep changing what they want. So another important point is to be sure about what you want and then don’t keep changing it.
Of course, sometimes your circumstances may change and a desire may be inappropriate or no longer necessary, in which case, you can change it.
4-Your Soul Purpose
The desires that are easiest to manifest are also in alignment with your soul purpose. And you can ask your inner guidance, angels, etc., how to choose desires that align with your soul purpose and mission.
Sometimes desires have more than one component, and some of the components may be in alignment with your soul purpose, and some may not. For example, you may want to be a great artist, have that as your career, make money from it, and even be famous.
Those are a lot of components. But maybe the only components that align with your sole purpose are that you become a great artist and that you are well known in a small community of people. And to be famous, make a career of it, and make money from it are not in alignment with your soul purpose. So, your multi-faceted desire may need some refinement.
Many times the only way to figure out which components are in alignment is to do your Law of Attraction methods and then see what part of that desire shows up easily.
5-Reasonable Desires
The last point is that your desire must be reasonable for you to achieve. This means that your goals or wishes must be realistic and within your reach if you actually want to accomplish them.
What you want shouldn’t be wildly unrealistic. It should match your actual circumstances, resources, and current situation, and it should focus specifically on your unique abilities, skills, time, and energy.
An example:
If you have never run before, desiring to run a marathon next weekend is unreasonable and likely impossible. However, desiring to run a marathon in one year after months of proper training is a reasonable, achievable desire.
So that’s five things you can do to use the Law of Attraction:
- Welcome and send love to your desires
- Have desires come from the higher self and be in alignment with the laws of nature
- Be clear and sure about what the desires are
- Have your desires in alignment with your soul purpose
- Have them be reasonable
Once those are in place, you should see that manifesting your desires through the Law of Attraction is easier than before.
