Live the Life Your Want Today – Part 1

How do you create the life you want? As a spiritual life coach, I want to suggest that you start by living the life you want. What do I mean by that? I mean, that you don’t have to wait for the life you want—you can begin living it right now. Here are some steps you can take to live the life you want while you’re in the process of creating it.

1- Imagine it first.

You can start living the life you want by imagining it. It is a matter of vision. How do you envision your future? What do you want to accomplish? You must be able to imagine yourself doing what you want to do, and being the person you need to be in order to do that thing. If you can picture yourself as a winner, it’s easier to become one.

If you have trouble imagining your own future, find someone who is already doing what you want to do and imagine what it’s like for them. You may even want to contact that person and ask them what it’s like, telling them that you aspire to be like them. Or you may have a coach who can help you.

Then take some minutes every day to imagine yourself living the life you want to create. This will give your brain a way to focus on your desired outcome in order to activate the energy around the fulfillment of your dreams. As we’ve all heard (but so easily forget!)—what you think about most is what you will get.

Even athletes are known to use imagining techniques to prepare for winning events and breaking records.

Everyone has an imagination, and you have free and unlimited use of it, so put it to work!

2- Get your emotions involved

When you visualize your life happening the way you want it to, get as many of your senses involved as you can. Feel the excitement, the joy, the sense of accomplishment as well as how it looks, sounds, and smells. The more senses you activate, the better.

We all know that advertisers use words to arouse our emotions. That’s because they know that it’s human nature to decide on purchasing something with our emotions and only then justify it with our rational minds. In the same way, you can use your own human nature to “sell” yourself on the idea that you are manifesting the life you want by getting your emotions involved in your visualization.

3- Ask the right questions.

Tony Robbins, probably the one life coach that everyone has heard of, and author of “Unlimited Power” and “Awaken the Giant Within,” says that the difference between successful and unsuccessful people is in the questions they ask themselves. People who are successful ask “empowering” questions, and people who are not, ask “non-empowering” questions.

Here are some examples of non-empowering questions:

  • Why is this (awful thing) happening to me?
  • Why can’t I make this (good thing) happen?
  • What if I can’t do this?
  • Why does this always happen to me?
  • Why can’t I {fill in the blank}?

Once you become aware of the non-empowering questions you are asking, you can substitute more empowering questions such as…

  • What can I learn from this situation?
  • What do I need in order to make this happen?
  • How can I {fill in the blank}?

These kinds of questions stimulate your brain to come up with solutions and remind your brain of all the resources you have available to you.  When you ask your brain the right questions, you will get answers that are more meaningful and appropriate for reaching your goals.

Your amazing brain can locate answers to just about anything, especially if it’s about yourself, such as who you are and what you are destined to do. But if you are constantly asking the wrong questions, you are not going to get very far in life or accomplish your goals with joy and ease.

You have the power to overcome any obstacle in your life if you just ask the right questions.

What do you think?  Have you tried any of these?  Please comment below.
