Solve a Problem for Your Audience

Solve a problem for your audienceSolving problems is what you do. It may not always seem like it, but at the center of it all, this is what your role is. In order to solve a problem for your audience, though, the first thing you have to do is understand your audience.

A few years ago, a young entrepreneur had found the perfect product to promote. He was so excited. He dug in and created a beautiful website, a powerful landing page and sales funnel, and countless articles, blog posts, etc. about the product he was promoting to help children stop wetting their beds.

He couldn’t understand why his product wasn’t selling like hotcakes. He had no idea what he was missing. What his audience was hungry to hear.

Within minutes of him posting his perplexities on a forum for marketers, six women had chimed in with a single word.

Laundry.

Children wetting beds created mountains of frustrating laundry for women in the middle of the night. That was the pain point. That was the emotional trigger that would sell his products.

Promise to eliminate the unnecessary LAUNDRY.

Guess what? It worked. By making a few tweaks to address the pain point of laundry for his efforts, the payout was successful beyond even his initial hopes and expectations.

He promoted a product that solved a very real problem for his audience, and he was rewarded because he took the time to understand his audience better.

What about you? You may have a great product that can solve a problem for your audience, but haven’t hit on the most crucial problem that it solves. The best way to find out is to ask. That’s what forums and online groups are for – to help each other. So take advantage of it and find the emotional trigger for your audience.

By the way, James I. Bond and I are offering a limited number of free strategy sessions to show you how you can use emotional brain triggers to uncover your prospects’ deepest desires and get them to tell you exactly how to turn them into a client!

A Powerful Sales Formula

This article was written by James I. Bond and Jeannette Koczela

The Formula-cropped
How would you like a simple but powerful sales formula that instantly makes your ads, talks, emails, web pages, and other promotions more effective?

After working with hundreds of businesses and their sales teams, James I. Bond developed a sales formula that you can use for all of those marketing items.

The formula is “PSC – FBA”, referring to:
   ● PROBLEM — What problem does your product or service solve?
Every business solves a problem. Even Disneyland is the solution to a problem: “What are we going to do with the kids during vacation?” — or “Where can we go to have an amazing vacation that makes us feel like kids again?”
So… what problem do you solve?

Unlocking the Power of Joint Venture Partnerships

Insights from a Virtual Networking Conference

joint venture partnershipsLast week I attended a 3-day virtual conference, called the Strategic Alliance Event” about networking with potential joint venture partners. As you probably know, one of the best ways to grow your business faster is to have other people promote it.

The conference taught us some new ways of partnering, and some others that I have used but now have added ideas about.

1-Giveaways

For example, one way to partner is to contribute to a giveaway, or hold one of your own. I have participated in many giveaways (given by others) and have always gained new subscribers. Last year I started to do my own giveaways and gained many more subscribers. Plus I got several new JV partners. (My next giveaway is coming up at the end of April, so watch for it in my posts/emails.)

Blog Tip – Using Repetition

Use the Principle of Repetition to Give Your Graphics Even More ImpactUse the Principle of Repetition to Give Your Graphics Even More Impact

The theme this month is blogging and here is a blog tip for your visuals. A love of repetition is hardwired into human DNA (that’s how we first learned how to learn). Just think of your three-year-old, wanting the same story, night after night. It isn’t the surprise ending that delights him/her so: It’s the same words, said in the same way. It’s the same scenario repeated multiple times (think “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”).

We carry that early imprinting over into adult life. That’s why audiences respond to repetition in movie memes; why we read what is basically the same cozy mystery plot told in seven different ways; why we trust people we know more than people we don’t know.

Use that bit of basic psychology in your blog. Always include repeating graphic elements in the same spot—for example, a logo in your resource box; a cartoon ‘mascot’ for a particular newsletter column; the same template for your newsletter every month; the same graphic placement and size in your posts.

How To Get Paid What You’re Worth – Part 3

How To Get Paid What You're Worth – Part 3Thoughts can hold you back – especially the ones you repeat and the ones you’re not aware of thinking. Working on your mindset pertains to your value, and how to convey that to potential clients. In this article we’ll take a look at 3 steps you can take to improve your mindset so you can get paid what you’re worth.

Step One: Finding Your Mindset Traps

Coaches are just as susceptible as their clients when it comes to those insidious mindset glitches and traps. Time to do some house cleaning and find the thoughts that are holding you back.

First of all, make sure you own a growth mindset rather than one that is fixed and set. Be aware of the possibility for growth in every area – especially those you consider yourself already an expert in, as well as the areas where you’re sure you will never be able to grow.

Dr. Carol Dweck talks about the importance of having a growth mindset in her powerful, ten-minute TED talk, “The Power of Believing That You Can Improve”.

Self-Care Isn’t Selfish

Self-Care isnt selfish

Self-Care isn’t selfish, because you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Something I’ve learned on my journey to success is that self-care is a big factor. Taking care of your own needs in addition to running your business is essential because you want to be healthy and feel good as a business owner.

Self-care is important for your cognitive and psychological well-being.

I have found that self-care begins with self-love and I used to have a problem with that because I made a lot of mistakes, which diminished my view of myself.

But now I know that I shouldn’t identify myself with my mistakes. That’s not who I am. So, if you are doing that—don’t. Think of mistakes as situations that are different from what you expected. When I started doing that, I was able to “love” myself more.

Self-love is not selfishness or self-centeredness. We were taught to avoid those, but they get confused with the term “self-love”.

Self-love is merely aligning with the Divine Love that is inside of you. If the term “self-love” is confusing, think of it as “inner bliss”. We all can feel the happiness (or bliss) that’s always present inside of us. So when you practice self-love, you are just connecting with your inner bliss. Try connecting with that regularly through meditation, or quiet contemplation and see it makes you love yourself more.

And when you love yourself more, you’ll take care of yourself better than before. Fill your cup before you pour!

Mindset for Client Attraction: Overcoming the Imposter Syndrome

Overcoming the Imposter SyndromeDo you ever look at how experienced and successful other coaches are and feel like you are not worthy?

I get it, there are so many coaches out there with years of experience, awards and resources so you sometimes wonder why your client should hire you over them.

Feeling like an impostor as a coach can lead to:

  • Underselling your services
  • Doing most of the work in the coaching session
  • Demonstrating loose boundaries around coaching sessions or fees
  • Putting off getting clients and instead collecting more and more qualifications (yet it doesn’t seem enough)

Blogging is Still a Powerful Way to Connect with Your Audience

Blogging is still powerfulIn an era dominated by social media, where attention spans are dwindling, and trends evolve at a rapid pace, blogging continues to stand out as a powerful and enduring way to connect with audiences.

Despite the rise of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X, blogging offers a unique space for individuals and businesses to share in-depth content, and foster meaningful connections with their audience.

Unlike the character-limited posts on social media, a primary advantage of blogging is the ability to create long-form, thoughtful content. This allows content creators, coaches, and service providers to showcase their expertise, share valuable insights, and establish themselves as thought leaders in their respective fields.

Here are 10 reasons why blogging is still a powerful marketing strategy:
